I don't remember anymore how this guy was created I think I actually started painting the texture long before i modeled the first polygon. something I do pretty much exclusively nowadays. the chest tattoo with the "Eightball" was the first element I decided on for this model I think I saw something similar in some movie ... I really don't know anymore. What i do know is that mysteriously the Maya-Unreal exporter "Actor X" would crash when I tried to get this model ingame so a fellow unreal modder called "Evilengine" offered to export it from max and he did a good job all around. I still really like the hand painted texture but the model not so much ... all in all its my least favorite unreal character I would say. I got a lot of flak for the upper arms that don't actually attach to the shoulders something epic did on pretty much all of their models (as did ID-Software on their Quake3 models) and that is where I stole the work flow from but they managed to hide the transition way better than I did.
