I tried to continue the tradition of naming my unreal maps after medical conditions with this one: "Koma" is the German word for being in a "coma" but really I snatched the name from "Ghost in the Shell". The drilling machine laying bare the alien ruins in this map is roughly based on the design of the tachi"koma"s. The layout of this map is very unusual for my standards I must confess that I never understood the Unreal players and always tried approaching the layout design in a way how you would design a Counter-Strike map for example with a fixed amount of routes and preferred choke points carefully planing how it would be to shoot from corner to corner but this time there is doors ramps and jump pads chaotically scattered everywhere without any greater plan. It was gameplay wise the most well received of my unreal maps by the players ... I will never understand these guys^^.
