Red Orchestra

I was always hoping that a good "Day of Defeat" style mod would pop up for Unreal so when the first "Red-Orchestra" screenshots where posted I was excited. I offered to help out with levels and art-assets and got accepted to join the team. But just a few weeks into making my first level stress at work and the newly started development of Codename-Gordon on the side forced me to drop out of the commitment to the mod. I bundled up all the models and textures I had made up until that point and send it to my Red-Orchestra teammates with apologies that I have to stop working on it already. the other level designers seamed starved for WW2 graphics assets hence Unreal hardly comes with anything none Sci-Fi. So my textures and models quickly found a place in almost all the red orchestra Maps. The mod got released went through some updates and ended up winning the top spot in the "Nvidia Make Something Unreal Contest". With the official unreal engine license as a prize under their belt the mod team now renamed themselves to Tripwire-Interactive and prepared a Steam and retail stand alone release of the mod. Even though I never got credited in the game or on the official homepage or anything I did get my share of the prize money and signed a release form for my assets for the retail copy of the game.
